Mission Statement: We strive to provide optimal medical care for all of our patients in a warm, friendly, inviting atmosphere that encourages our clients participation and comfort.

Tuckahoe Animal Hospital has been serving Westchester, New York City, and the surrounding since 1997.

The hospital is staffed by an experienced team of veterinarians, including Board Certified specialists in surgery, medicine, cardiology, radiology, and more. Certified Veterinary Technicians, Receptionists, and Veterinary Assistants help make Tuckahoe Animal Hospital a professional facility of which we are all proud.

We welcome you to visit our facility located in the heart of Tuckahoe, New York, directly in front of the Metro North train station at the Tuckahoe Station.

    Anthony J. Meglino DVM (Internal Medicine)

    Dr. Meglino has always been a Westchester resident. He graduated from Ardsley High School. He received an associate degree Applied Science/Animal Science from S.U.N.Y Alfred. He received a bachelors degree in Animal Science from The University of Georgia and his D.V.M. from the University of Parma, Italy.
    Dr. Meglino went on to a formal internship in Internal Medicine and Surgery at Washington State University, which he completed three years later.
    Dr. Meglino is a current member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Association, as well as the Westchester/Rockland Veterinary Medical Association.
    Dr. Meglino is an avid participant in continuing education programs locally and nationally.
    Dr.Meglino is extremely happy to have opened the Tuckahoe Animal Hospital & Pet Center in September 1997, and is looking forward to serving the community for many years.

  • Arthur Bartko (LVT)

    Arthur Bartko native of Yonkers. He has been working as a veterinary technician for over 14 years. Arthur enjoys nursing care and dentistry. His first pet was a female guinea pig. His second pet Tiberius, a male guinea pig, needed to be treated for an illness, which is how he found his love for and career as a Veterinary Technician. Currently, Arthur and his wife live with their dog Otis, a Minature Schnauzer.

  • Christopher J. Dillon DVM, DACVS (Surgery)

    Dr. Dillon is a graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has worked in general private practice for several years in West Hartford CT prior to completing a surgical internship/residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City.  Dr. Dillon has developed a strong interest in reconstructive surgery as it relates to trauma and in the treatment of cancer, with other interests in soft tissue and neurosurgery.

    He is currently a consultant surgeon for the Tuckahoe Animal Hospital.

  • Jean Paul Petrie DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)

    Dr. Jean-Paul Petrie is a veterinary cardiologist. He completed his DVM degree at Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He completed his internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists. Prior to completing his residency, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in cardiac physiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Petrie completed his residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He lectures both nationally and internationally.

  • Mark Rishniw BVSc, MS, DACVIM (Cardiology)

    Dr. Rishniw has completed a PhD in physiology and developmental biology at Cornell University and is a consultant for the Veterinary Information Network.

    Dr. Rishniw was previously staff cardiologist and chief of services at Cornell University and registrar in internal medicine at Melbourne University, where he received his DVM degree. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Washington State University and in cardiology at University of California, Davis

    Dr. Rishniw has published articles and chapters in peer reviewed journals and textbooks, and regularly presents clinical research at national and international meetings.

  • Anthony Fischetti DVM, DACVR (Radiology)

    Dr. Fischetti is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his residency in Radiology and Ultrasonography at Ohio state University. He is currently the head of Diagnostic Imaging at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He has published many articles in peer review.
